carlsson
Soon to be playing Blood Reef Tarawa CGIII we are currently playing "BRT6 A Legend is Born" to learn all the special rules. And there's much to learn... We have solved most of the rules question, but there are one thing that seems peculiar; How to breach a Seawall with a DC. My interpretation:1. G13.624 BREACH: ...by a DC Set in the Beach hex as a declared Breaching attempt vs a specific seawall hexside of that hex.2. A23.7 SET DEMOLITION: ...Set and declared during play by an Infantry unit which spent all of its MF (using Hazardous Movement) to Set the DC in its Location during its MPh and make a dr ≤ its US# without being pinned or broken. A Set DC may be detonated during any friendly fire phase in a subsequent Player Turn by that Good Order unit (or one of its derivative HS, if a squad which has been Reduced or Deployed), provided it is within six hexes and LOS of the DC (but at least two hexes away), and passes a NTC. 3. A23.71: A detonated Set DC is resolved on the 36+ FP column of the IFT with a -3 DRM and no TEM. A Final KIA result on a Set DC attack results in the destruction of any bridge or affected building level in that hex. Statements:- If the setting Squad is KIA, the set DC is forfeit, since no one else can detonate it.- It takes 4 player turns to breach a Seawall; 1a: Declare, 1b: Not get killed, 2a: Move at least 2 Hexes away. 2b DFPh: Detonate.- All units in the Beach hex that the DC is set in is affected by the Set DC when it is detonated (with IFT36 -3 DRM). (This seems odd because you are trying to kill the Seawall.)- You need to pass a Unit Size dr and a NTC before the breach attempt, and survive Hazardous Movement -2 DRM... Am I right? It just seems a little bit hard to breach a Seawall, that's all...
