Yes, I will keep checking back. My initial thought is to sort just one type of counter per box. I will have to see how that works out. I have made up some labels based on Reid Hutchinson's (sp?) Armory files. My labels are based on Avery Labels that are 7/8" x 1/2" I guess that is about 22mm x 13mm. I included more info than just unit type. For instance on MMC I put the ELR sequence and BH information. For vehicles I put the name as well as the MP's and Gun size. Those two numbers are easier to read for me than the small vehicle name.
I am in Garner, North Carolina, USA. Until now I have only posted on CSW and not alot there.
Hi Marvin,
Send me your Postal Address , I have no desire to print that quite lengthy paper-work
onto a computer-screen.
It would be easier for me to photo-copy it and send it to North Carolina then you
could read it through and maybe give me some input , questions and so forth.
best regards Melvin

Great. Thanks for the link. I will take a closer look this evening.
Maybe you should check in next week I might have written a little piece about this subject.
I plan to do a Matchbox - sortiment system next year but so far I have only written down
the thoughts about it on plain old paper and they are at home so I can not give you any
detailed info about the subject
(which Matchboxes to use , how to label them how to put them togheter and so forth).
best regards
Ps. just curious where are you from I have not seen
your name on any of the English-American ASL sites?
or have I?

Nice AAReports Bo
I can still remember that nasty Chinese Stuart blasting Canister at (single DR) three Japanese units that were standing in three different hexes, not much standing for them after that.
Here is a rule-exploration about that specific situation that we played wrong .
The Chinese has two 5-3-7 squads and a Stuart standing in the palm tree hex.
The Japanese have a Concealed leader and squad with DC in the dense jungle
not adjacent.
Japanese MPh the leader Assault Move ADJACENT to the Chinese stack, no response
from the Chinese , then the Jap. squad with DC also Assault move to the same hex as his
leader no response, However , the squad now expends one MF to Place the DC (?-loss)
against the Chinese - Response by the two 5-3-7 squads 20 FPc +2 TEM, the Japanese squad
is forced to take a MC, roll the MC the DR is 2 -HOB- Berserk.
Now comes the error - I believed that a DC Placement only succeeds if made by a Good Order
and not Pinned unit (maybe some can check up the 1st edition rules) anyhow we played that
the placement attempt failed and the squad charged into the palm trees and in the APh
he throws the DC instead.
The rules tell us that a DC Placement also succeeds if it is made by a unit that becomes Berserk
(A unit that is Berserk in the beginning of its MPh may never Place a DC).
Note if we had played it correctly the Placed DC would never attack any Japanese unit
in the Hex unless they were locked in Meele or if a building was in the hex and rubbled by the DC
but then it is the rubble that attacks the Japanese unit not the DC , well you know what I mean.
How do I remember this after 3 Months and 50 scenarios later - For three weeks ago I played
a scenario with Patrik Manlig , my Russian 8-0 leader with DC tries to place it against a Pz III
Flammenpanzer (FT 30 FP) the Flammenwerfen attack turns my 8-0 leader Berserk during the
Placement attempt and the same error is about to repeat itself by us both until a bird or if you
prefer Klas Malmström tell us that it is placed anyway, thanks Klas.
End story the Russian leader killed in the open while charging forward and later in the APh
the DC blow the tracks of that nasty armour dragon.
In the future we will hopefully play this more in accordance with the rules
since this seems to be a rather common occurance - I mean - DC Placement
and the unit goes Berserk while trying

Läser man ur Journal 7 så finner man följande text: Pre-war development of artillery had
suffered from financial stringency, large stocks of 1918-vintage equipment...
...delayed the introduction of HE to replace the traditional and inferior shrapnel despite
a consensus of technical opinion against them.
Journal 7: Some safety tolerances were , however relaxed during the war to speed production,
conserve scarce materials and boost ballistic performance, but balanced against this was the need
to use inferior metals in British shells for Strategic reasons necessitating thicker shell walls (+6mm)
at the expense of the explosive filling the resultant weight increased also partly explains the poor
Moreover, the use of lower grade steel for shells and a TNT shortage in 1941-42 made it
necessary to use the cheaper and inferior amatol (TNT and ammonium nitrate) in shells,
with a reduced blast effect, though amatol gave better fragmentation in such low-grade
steel projectiles.

WOODS - ROUT, RALLY, MF/MP cost , TEM
The following text from the rule-paragraphs is not complete
A2.4 CUMULATIVE TERRAIN EFFECTS: Terrain effects and movement costs of hexes containing
more than one terrain feature (such as 2I9) are cumulative unless specified otherwise by the rules
govering the involved terrain types.
B.1 ...most hexes are dominated by one specific terrain type and are governed by the rules for that specific terrain type. Usually , the dominant terrain type includes the hex center dot.
B13.1 Woods... such as hex 1C9 or 18J3 is considered a woods hex, as is 19X1 which also contains a road.
B13.2 ...a Wods hex in a Depression hex is still a level one LOS obstacle because the woods occurs on the higher fringes of the depression hex as well as in it.
Index: Depressions (Gully, Stream, Sunken Road) A.6
B19.1 ...Unlike a Stream (even if dry) , the Gully symbol need only appear in a hex for it to
be considered a Gully hex. A Gully hex is treated as a Gully regardless of the other terrain
in the hex.
B20.4 Depth: the depth of water in a stream is the only thing which distinguishes it from a
Gully hex. A Stream may be defined as one of the four types : dry, shallow, deep, flooded.
B20.41 Dry: if a Stream is dry it does not exist rather it is considered a Gully for all purposes.
B33.11 Entry: A unit enters a Stream (including a dry stream) -woods/brush/orchard hex across
a Stream hexside at the normal for its depth Stream cost.
-- B19.4 Infantry move INTO a Gully hex at a cost of four MF regardless of wheter the move
-- is made through a Gully hexside or not.
B33.13 TEM a unit in a Stream (including dry stream) -woods/brush/orchard hex is in Open Ground if the LOS INTO that hex emenates from within or lies within the Stream depiction
as it enters that hex, otherwise, a unit in/IN such a hex is not in Open Ground and can claim
the hex´s... TEM.
-- Slutsats A10.5 DIRECTION (routing) and A10.61 TERRAIN BONUS (rally) gäller inte
..woods -----------skog -1 rally, Bypass, rout terrain
..stream-woods ---ström-skog ej bonus, bypass, rout terrain
Klas skrev-
-
Kollade nyligen upp Terrain Charten
och den tycks ha tre ytterligare fel
utöver den Broken Bridge TEM .
Eller ska man kalla dem regel ändringar
och att reglerna är felaktiga.
1. Pillbox , ska vara printat i rött
för att var Concealment Terrain.

PFPh, MPh)?
Annat man bör tänka?
Tackar!
// Daniel
hemlängtan-Recall.

Kan nån förklara hur Out of Cowardice kunde komma igenom MMPs speltest så obalanserad?

"A7.3 Any excess FP factors have no effect"
-
ASL 119 ANCIENT FEUD
Delete one Zrinyl II AFV and also delete one 40M Turan ® AFV
from the Hungarian OB.
................................................................................
...........
ASL 113 LIBERATING BESSARABIA
Replace the four 4-2-6 squads with four 4-4-7 in the Russian OB.
................................................................................
...........
ASL 112 OUT OF COWARDICE
Delete two 4-3-7 Squads from the Yugoslavian OB.
Add the following sentence in the end of SSR 2,
"The second part of this SSR is not in effect the first Turn.".
................................................................................
..........
"A7.3 Any excess FP factors have no effect"
-

HEAT OF BATTLE.
Endast Hero -- Squad och HS fortfarande brutna + Hero (leader becomes Hero)
Hero och Battle Hard. -- Squad , HS och Leadare Battle Hard +rally +Hero
Endast Battle Hard. --- Squad , HS och leader (rally)
Berserk -- becomes Berserk or only Battle Hard+Rally, if no LOS to known enemy Unit
note: diffrent rules apply to SELF-RALLY
-
Hej alla !
Problem !!
