  1. Day 4: 20 October, Thuesday - German Assault, Clear, Wet, Heavy Wind from the Southwest at start.
    German reinforcements [ELR: 4] [SAN: 3]:

    German Order of Battle: 18 Ldr, 52.5 Sq-Eq (8 AE, 22 Elite, 22.5 1st/2nd Line), 34 SWs (5 MMG, 16 LMG, 3 ATR, 3 Lt MTR, 4 DC, 3 FT), 3 STUKA (with Rudel the 10-2 Stuka Ace).

    AFTERMATH (5 Game Turns): A German Pionier Coy brought in during the night resumes the assault in the two large factories with the support of two Sturm Companies, a gruesome up close fighting is the order of the day with hissing flamethrowers, the rattling sound of machine gun fire, hand grenades thrown at each other and German demo charges exploding to create breaches in the factories interior walls to be able to infiltrate the Russian positions and force them to withdraw and lose another 40-80 meters of the factory to the Germans, the Stuka Ace Rudel flew his plane above a Factory and bombed a Russian positions in it, killing many with a direct hit, but jammed the machine gun during the same dive-attack and flew directly home to base. the other two Stuka planes stayed longer and supported the assault and watched the open terrain like hawks and punished careless enemy, moving about. At the Volga sector, the German probing attack towards the Chemist Shop (X10) came to a halt when a hidden dúg-in T-60 opened fire at the advancing Germans, although the Germans managed to expand their perimeter and also reached the Volga shore (buckets of fresh water, were fetched during the night). At the Railway embankment sector the battle became a stalemate and mostly, exchange of fire occurred during the day.

    Russian Casualties: 1 Ldr, 28.

  2. FB10 Return of The Black Coy

    Post-tournament balance suggestions: 

    Decrease Russian SAN to 2. Increase Axis SAN to 6. Hungarians may ignore the +3 HoB DRM. Axis units in hexes numbered 24-26 are considered eliminated for VCs purposes (i.e., for the Russian VCs choice #1, eliminate 18 CVP).

    AFTERMATH (6 Game Turns): A Misty and wet morning in Stalingrad. The today´s battle became a dual attack and the Russian gained the initiative at the beginning of the battle (German set up first, Russian Move first), the Russian artillery support of two battailion OBA modules, delivered several devastating well-aimed strikes upon the German forces. One artillery worked upon the German troops at the Volga sector and allowed the Russian to counter attack and regained terrain recently lost, while the other artillery, west of the factories  stopped the German attack that crawled downstairs to the cellar basement to get more protected vs the artillery blasts. The Russian Set DC (Z2) fizzeled out, to the dismay to the Russian commander in the Volga sector. In the two factories the battle ended with the Russian losing some of the factory halls to the German slowly grinding forward with sheer volume of fire and close combats.


    German Casualties: 1 Ldr, 15.5 Sq-Eq, 3 SWs, 2 AFVs.
    Russian Casualties: 0 Ldr, 11.

  4. Day 2: 18 October, Sunday - German Assault, Clear & Gusty, Moderate, no wind at start.

    German reinforcements [ELR: 4] [SAN: 2]: Rifle Coy (7 CPP), Sturm Coy (9 CPP), STUKA (1 CPP).

    German Order of Battle: 13 Ldr (one Ldr crt), 53.5 Sq-Eq (35 Elite, 18.5 1st/2nd Line), 23 SWs (4 MMG, 11 LMG, 2 ATR, 2 Lt MTR, 4 DC), 3 AFVs (2 StuG IIIB, Pz IIIL). 3 STUKA.

    Russian reinforcements [ELR: 3] [SAN: 3]: Rifle Coy (Reserve 4 CPP), SMG Coy (Reserve 3 CPP), Militia Coy (4 CPP), OBA Two Lt Arty 70+mm (2 CPP), SAN increase. 6 A-P minefield, HIP 5 squads,  7x ?.

    Russian Order of Battle: 10 Ldr, 70.5 Sq-Eq (2 Crew, 1.5 Elite, 49 1st Line, 19 Conscripts), 18 SWs (3 MMG, 8 LMG, 4 ATR, 3 Lt MTR), 2 Guns (AT 45mm), 2 AFV (Dug-In T-70 & one on-foot veh crew). Two Lt Arty OBA +70mm.

    AFTERMATH (8 Game Turns): The fighting raged on throughout the whole day and two factories fell into German hands that also gained a strong foothold in a third. The Two hidden T-70 dug-in tanks revelaed themselves during the battle and were quickly rushed by a German squad (548) and togheter with a fanatic (1-4-10) hero eliminated one tank after the other.  Booby traps eliminated two German HS and killed one leader and wounded another leader that was evacuated after the battle. The Russian minefield was cleared (needed a dr of 1).
    German Casualties: 3 Ldr, 17.5 Sq-Eq, 4 SWs, 1 AFV (Recalled).
    Russian Casualties: 1 Ldr, 35.
    5 Sq-Eq, 6 SWs, 2 AFVs.

    Thanks for posting, always like to see how others approach a game.

    I would say for a 6 Turns RB CG scenario the German achievements are average both in regards to perimeter and losses for both sides.

    AFTERMATH (6 Game Turns): The Kesselschlacht in the Tractor Works had been a great German success, although the Russians did take gruesome losses they still inflicted severe depletion and exhaustion in the German ranks and provided enough time for STAVKA to prepare the defense in the south. After some time for rest and refit, the OKH call on its commanders to repeat the successful attack of - Kesselschlacht - in the next factory sector south of the Tractor Work - the RED BARRICADES. The Germans assault of combined arms across the relative open terrain by the German foot soldiers, artillery , Stuka planes and two panzer pltns made rapid advance, despite the hail of small arms fire, machine gun fire , two Russian artillery (80mm), that tried to contain their advance. A timely cease fire for the Russians , stopped the German advancement, the wounded were evacuated (including a German 9-1 Ldr wounded by a booby trap).
    German Casualties: 3 Ldr, 6.5 Sq-Eq, 2 SWs, 3 AFVs (one Recalled).
    Russian Casualties: 2 Ldr, 11.
    5 Sq-Eq, 2 SWs, 1 AFVs.
