The 10th edition of the Advanced Squad Leader Event in Arnhem, Holland, will start on Thursday, 20th of September 2012 and continue non-stop until Sunday, September 23th.

The Bridge Too Far ASL Tournament will have 5 Rounds of gaming for an expected 20-25 participants. On Thursday we'll have the gaming room open for friendly gaming around 1pm. On Friday, all players will take part in the Main Tournament. On Saturday and Sunday, half the crowd will continue in the Main Tournament, while the others will compete in a variety of Mini-Tournaments. The surprise round will be round 4 on Saturday afternoon.

As in previous years the Mini Tournaments will be single elimination style but this year we will start with one or two 4 person round robin Mini Tournaments in which each player has to play all the other players in the Mini Tournament. The number of round robin Mini's is determined by the number of interested players but at least one of them will be played.

Our main objective is to bring together a truly international group of ASL players for four days of gaming. We will select exciting and balanced scenarios, and try to avoid tournament classics most people have played before. The Program and provisional Themes for A Bridge Too Far 2012 will be announced in February 2012 and the full scenario list will be announced in May/June 2012.

We have pre-booked 30 beds at the Hostel, which will be offered on a first-come first-serve basis. If you wish to organize your accommodation at the tournament venue through the Tournament Organizers, you MUST register and pay in full before 1st of August, 2012.

After the 1st of August 2012, we will take no further direct responsibility for organizing any accommodation at StayOkay. You are free to make your own direct arrangements with them (if rooms are still available) or we can advise you on alternative accommodation nearby.

All competitive results from the Arnhem ASL Tournament are submitted to the European Area Ranking, which is also used as the basis (together with nationality) for the pairing of players in the first three rounds of the tournament.

We will keep you updated through this forum and of course through our website:
