Operation Veritable: 19AM February, Monday morning - Canadian Assault.
Overcast~when it rains it really pours (i.e., always heavy rain), Wet & Soft Ground
(one additional MP per hexside to enter Plowed Fields), No wind at start. Riley's Road LHR used.
German at start OB: ELR: 3, SAN: 4 5 Ldr, 24 Sq-Eq (20x 548, 8x 228), 12 SWs (2 HMG, 2 MMG, 6 LMG, 2 PSK),
4x 88 LL Guns (2xPaK43, 2xPaK41/43). OBA 80+mm Observer HIP with Fieldphone (3 Fire Missons used),
Fortifications: 4x Trench, 3x 6 A-P Minefields, 2x WIRE, Foxholes, Dummies/HIP.

22 AFVs (4x Firefly Sherm~76LL, 12x Sherman~75, 3x WASP, 3x MG Carrier), 20 Transport-AFVs x RAM Kangaroo (Recalled without Passengers).
AFTERMATH (8 Game Turns): The sky starts to pour down rain and three creeping barrages is all timing perfectly and the Canadian infantry attacked across the plowed fields with pouring rain vs the German lines , the Germans hold their fire since the rain and barrages gives good cover to the approaching Canadians, but along the paved road with two placed wire on, four AFVs are lost within minutes as two PaK 88 opens fire, most of the Canadians Passengers unloads at the first crest line or behind the creeping barrage. The battle is a bloody affaire as the Germans do their best to inflict as much damage to the enemy without regards of their own life, and they are good at it , 4 Ram-Kangaroo are wrecked and the other 16 Recalled. In the middle of the battle it seems like the German can hold the line in some parts as small pockets of resistance , but the Canadians order every mobile tank to charge the German positions even the PaK 88 positions, the Canadian infantry follow up move down the last German defenders with firepower or hand-to-hand combat. Turn 7 the battle is over, the Germans have been viped out and on turn 8 the Canadians gain control of all LVP on the south side of the hill.
German Casualties: 5 Ldr, 24 Sq-Eq, 12 SWs, 4 Guns.
Canadians Casualties: 3 Ldr, 12 Sq-Eq, 4 SWs, 15 AFVs (4 Recalled), 20 Ram Kang. (16 Recalled).

27 SWs (4 MMG, 12 LMG, 2 Lt MTR, 2 DC, 7 PIAT). 7 AFVs (6x Sherman~75, 1x WASP).
Victory Conditions: 20 Location VP gained by the Canadians, need 140 Location VP to achieve Victory.
